GO KINGS GO!!!! All you hatters can hop on our band wagon... It's fine with me. We'll take all the fans we can get. We are the GREATEST team in the NHL.

The KINGS aren't a jersey or a hat or even a sticker on your car. They are the thumbs up on the street, the random high five at a bar, the head nod between cars at a stop light. They are that part of your heart that causes you to jump up and raise your hands high up in the air. It's keeping your head up no matter what, Why you might ask, because WE ARE KINGS!!!

Like many of us, I went to my first game when I was 5. I met Orel Hershiser during the 2nd period when I was 8. I had dreams about playing with Gretzky and McScorley like they were real.

We had Wayne Gretzky when we thought is was good, but all of the odd's were against us (Montreal with McSorley's stick). We had great players and we still couldn't with the cup.

Then Mr. Bruce "greedy" McNall left and we got the new guy who was gonna so called, "REBUILD" just like Detroit had. We had no idea it was gonna get worse before it got better because some of the best players had yet to be farmed on to the team.

At a Tip-A-King event in 2005 I told coach Mark Crawford, to his face, that he was the shittiest coach there ever was, and to my he confidently agreed. He knew he was a stepping stone. It didn't stop there my anger and rage towards failure led me to spending nights in hockey forums bitching to coaches, commentators and sports casters. When was it gonna get better??? The thought of staging a strike outside Staple Center was bombarding my brain.

When the ducks won the cup in 2007 I thought that was it for me. As much as I cussed at my TV almost every other night, I knew I could never quit because no matter what all I knew was how to be a KING.

Even in 2007 - 2008 when they came in last place (which is what seemed to be on purpose to get first round draft pick for 2008) their luck was so bad they couldn't even get first round draft pick. Steven Stamkos was up for grabs and he was sensational. I was furious. Pissed. Instead we got 2nd pick which was Drew Doughty, who will turn out to be one of the greatest things to happen to the Kings.

But I still never left. It was still bad, they just couldn't nail down the goal tending, Jonathan Bernier was brought up to quickly and he got burned, but they had this Quick guy. Before Quick they would go a seasons with 30+ wins but they'd have one game where they'd play Dallas and we'd be down 3 nothing with 8 minutes to go in the 3rd. They'd come back and take the lead with 1:30 left to go, then give up another goal and be down 5-4 with 12 seconds left, and then tie it with 2 seconds left and then win it in over time. Those types of games aren't luck combined with talent, those moments are built from greatness, from something bigger than themselves.

Thats why I am a KINGS fan. For those moments that when no mater what is going on in your life you never give up hope. If they win Lorde Stanley's Cup for the second time in 2014, it won't be just for them... It will be for ALL of us.
